Monday's Meander

Soaptree and Tortugas Mountain
It wasn't excessively hot this morning when Dr. K, Willow and I started our hike, but it definitely wasn't as cool as yesterday.  For one thing there weren't any clouds, and any hint of a breeze was nonexistent.

We did our usual route, deciding to add a bit of distance when we reached the upper section of the left branch arroyo; we bushwhacked over to the saddle south of 4210 hill, scaled the hill and then turned around and retraced our steps.

We took a lot of shade/water breaks during the trek, a necessary move during these hot desert days.
